I wonder what the fascination with knives are. Many people will spend a lot of money to own at least one very good knife, be it a survival, camping or even kitchen knife. Knives are one of the earliest tools made by man, next to a rock or sharpened stick of course, and are used to prepare food, for table cutlery, carving a work of art , as a side arm for soldiers among other uses.
For me, after spending a LOT of time, blood (every knife maker sheds some at some point) and sweat on what was once just a chunk of steel and wood (or whatever handle material is being used), and has become a beautiful functional tool, gives me a sense of pride and achievement. Even more so when I see the joy of the customer receiving his /her knife.
